Knight Wagon

Get On The Wagon

Attention all foodies! Rutgers Dining Services’ very first food truck is geared up and ready to hit campus streets. Aptly named the Knight Wagon, the food truck will be making its début this month offering tasty and delicious options outside the dining halls and cafes. Nick Kraus, Dining Services Supervisor, gave us the what, where and when you may be wondering about:

What: The food truck offers a diverse menu with extremely reasonable prices, ranging from $3.25 to $6.75, and it gets better. Dining meal swipes, RU Express, cash and credit are all accepted. Expect to see specialties such as The Skirted Knight, which includes grilled skirt steak, sautéed peppers, onions, portabella mushrooms and crumbled blue cheese served on a toasted ciabatta roll. If that doesn’t get your salivary glands going, how does The “Twisted Gyro” Burger or a Philly Cheese Steak sound? If you are looking for leaner options, expect to see items like grab & go salads, grilled chicken, veggie burgers, and The Excalibur, which is a marinated skewer with your preference of meats, poultry, seafood or veggies.

Where: The Knight Wagon will be making designated stops in five locations across the New Brunswick/Piscataway campuses and will aim for two locations a day. Worried you won’t find the wagon, not to fret. Follow @KnightWagon for daily tweets regarding locations and “like” Knight Wagon on Facebook. Students are also welcomed to leave questions, comments and feedback on these social media sites.

When: Monday to Fridays you can catch the food truck from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on a campus near you.

Prepare to be awestruck!
