For the average college student, it may be difficult to balance a stressful lifestyle along with a nutritious diet. The RU Healthy Dining Team is here to help!
The RU Healthy Dining Team is a joint program of Dining Services and the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Our mission is to educate students about nutrition and encourage them to make healthier food and lifestyle choices. The R.U. Healthy Dining Team consists of eight students who work under the direction of a faculty director, Peggy Policastro, MS, RD.
The team develops weekly newsletters distributed in the four campus dining halls and online. In addition, they create interactive nutrition booths held in the dining halls and coordinate projects such as cooking shows and Iron Chef Rutgers competitions.
